In the lawsuit involving the late Choi Jin-sil's mother... The late Jo Sung-min's parents have vacated the building
[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] IHQ's 'Eunmilhan Newsroom' mentioned the inheritance dispute between the late Choi Jin-sil and her late ex-husband Jo Sung-min.
In the broadcast of 'Eunmilhan Newsroom' on the 2nd, a cast member said, "There was a report last year. There was a problem with the building where Choi Jin-sil's mother and Jo Sung-min's parents lived," adding, "After Jo Sung-min's death, the building was transferred to Hwanhee and Junhee, the children of Choi Jin-sil and Jo Sung-min, but the management and taxes were handled by the guardian, Choi Jin-sil's mother."
According to the cast member's explanation, Jo Sung-min's parents had lived in the building for over 20 years and were also receiving the rent. Because of this, Choi Jin-sil's mother filed a lawsuit for eviction and delivery order of illegal occupancy, and it was reported that Jo Sung-min's parents have now left the building, and the ownership of the building had also changed through a real estate auction.
Meanwhile, Choi Jin-sil married baseball player Jo Sung-min in December 2000. The couple had a son, Hwanhee, and a daughter, Junhee, but after a legal battle, they divorced in August 2004. Afterwards, Choi Jin-sil made a comeback as an actress but tragically took her own life on October 2, 2008. Jo Sung-min also shocked the public by taking his own life in January 2013.
