Midnight Drinking Party in Gangnam-gu Hospital Building Preparing to Open... Police Detain 3 People
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Employees who held a drinking party late at night in a hospital preparing to open, violating quarantine guidelines, were caught by the police.
According to the police on the 3rd, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul cracked down on three employees at around 12:30 a.m. the previous day at a hospital located in the basement level 1 of a building in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, on charges of violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
When the police arrived at the scene following a complaint from the building owner about noisy sounds, only these three people were present, but the building owner reportedly told the police that there were 11 people at the drinking party.
At the scene, liquor bottles and other items were found, and the hospital is known to be still preparing to open and has not yet started medical services.

A police official said, "We plan to notify the district office of the violations after the holiday," adding, "If the identities of the other eight people who were not present at the scene are confirmed, we will inform the district office."
