Residents who wish to enroll can apply through the district’s comprehensive education portal from 10:00 AM on October 1 to 6:00 PM on October 11. If applications exceed capacity, a computerized lottery will be held, and enrollment results will be announced on the website at 2:00 PM on October 14.
For English courses, a level test will be conducted from October 20 to 25 to organize classes according to proficiency levels.
Seongjang Hyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “Research shows that bilingual people can cope well with unpredictable situations and have resistance to senile dementia. I hope residents overcome the frustrating stay-at-home life by learning practical conversation in the flexibly operated native speaker foreign language classes according to the COVID-19 situation.”
