On the 3rd, Ahn stated on Facebook, "Galapagos Korea electing a 'king' in the era of the science and technology hegemony war."
Ahn criticized Lee by saying, "The ruling party’s presidential candidate imposed punishments like Bongopajik and Wirianchi on opponents as if he were a king from the Joseon Dynasty." Lee had previously mentioned terms like 'Bongopajik' and 'Wirianchi' toward Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, and Kim Ki-hyun, floor leader, when they raised the 'Daejang-dong preferential treatment suspicion.' Bongopajik means dismissing a corrupt official and sealing the official’s office, while Wirianchi refers to a punishment where an exiled criminal is confined within a thorny fence to prevent escape.
Then Ahn pointed out, "Not to be outdone, the opposition candidate engraved the character 'king' on his palm." This referred to a recent TV debate appearance by former Prosecutor General Yoon, where he was seen drawing the Chinese character '王 (king)' on his palm.
Ahn said, "The presidential election is becoming a contest to elect a king who will annihilate the opposing camp, not a president," adding, "This election will be a showdown between science and superstition, fact and rumor, evidence and conspiracy, problem solver and fortune teller."
He also criticized both parties, saying, "The government and ruling party persist with 'handouts.' The main opposition party has not moved an inch from the 2007 'Jul-Pu-Se' (reduce taxes and government size, loosen unnecessary regulations, and establish law and order)." He warned, "If the next government fails to prepare good jobs and future food sources, it will only be a matter of time before the foundation of ethics and morality in the Land of Morning Calm collapses."
Ahn emphasized, "The most important issue for the next government for Korea’s survival must be science and technology," and added, "The essence of the new US-China cold war fundamentally changing the world is not military power but the science and technology hegemony war."
