Gangbuk-gu '500,000 Won Per Person' Employment Incentive 2nd Application Recruitment
Providing 500,000 Won in Gangbuk Love Gift Certificates to Unemployed Youth Aged 19-34... Applications Accepted via Seoul Youth Portal from October 1 to 22
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-su) is providing additional employment incentives to young people who are experiencing difficulties due to the prolonged employment crisis caused by COVID-19.
The employment incentive was previously given to 984 unemployed youths through the first phase of the Unemployed Youth Employment Incentive Program in April. The district is now operating a second phase of the employment incentive program to benefit more unemployed youths in Gangbuk-gu.
The eligibility criteria are youths aged 19 to 34 (born between 1986 and 2002) residing in Gangbuk-gu as of the announcement date, who graduated from their final school within the last two years (2019?2021). University (graduate) students and those on leave of absence are excluded.
Applicants must either not be enrolled in employment insurance or, if enrolled, be short-term workers working 26 hours or less per week or employed for 3 months or less. Those currently receiving or eligible for unemployment benefits, those who participated in the 2021 National Employment Support System (Type 1), and those registered as business owners are excluded. However, participants of the 2020 Youth Job-Seeking Activity Support Fund who did not receive support in the first phase are eligible to apply for this second phase.
Applicants wishing to apply can register on the Seoul Youth Portal and submit their applications online from October 1 to October 22. Required documents must be converted into electronic files and submitted together by the applicant.
The support fund is 500,000 KRW per person and will be provided as a mobile Gangbuk Love Gift Certificate, which can be used at Zero Pay affiliated stores within Gangbuk-gu.
For more details, please check the announcement on the Seoul Youth Portal or Gangbuk-gu Office website, or contact the Youth Support Team at Gangbuk-gu Office.
