'Unlicensed Driving' Jang Je-won's Son, Rapper Noel, Appears at Police Station
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Rapper Noel (21, real name Jang Yong-jun), who is accused of driving without a license, refusing a breathalyzer test, and assaulting a police officer, appeared at the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on the 30th.
Jang appeared for suspect questioning at around 6:43 p.m. that day and remained silent in response to reporters' questions such as "Did you drive under the influence?" and "Why did you refuse the breathalyzer test?"
Jang, the son of People Power Party lawmaker Jang Je-won, was driving a Mercedes-Benz in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, at around 10:30 p.m. on the 18th when he caused a collision with another vehicle. He refused the breathalyzer test requested by the police officers who arrived at the scene and headbutted one of the officers, leading to his arrest on charges including refusal of a breathalyzer test under the Road Traffic Act, driving without a license, and obstruction of official duties.
