Damyang-gun, Emergency Livelihood Stabilization Support to Overcome the COVID-19 Crisis
Cash and Quarantine Supplies for 16 Projects in 3 Sectors Including Small Business Owners
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 30th, Damyang County in Jeonnam announced that it will provide emergency livelihood stabilization support to small business owners, travel agencies, vulnerable groups, and others who have suffered direct and indirect damage due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, in order to revitalize the stagnant local economy.
This livelihood support fund is being implemented additionally, separate from the government's 5th round of the National Support Fund for Coexistence, to share and comfort the pain of residents experiencing inconveniences and economic difficulties due to COVID-19 quarantine measures.
The livelihood support fund, totaling over 400 million won, will support 16 projects in 3 sectors through cash and quarantine supplies. According to the criteria for each target project, cash up to 2 million won or quarantine support supplies (such as masks) will be provided.
The targets are ▲ small business recovery support for travel agencies, private sports facilities, bus companies, etc. (8 projects, 230 million won) ▲ livelihood support for vulnerable groups such as cultural artists, single-parent families, and elderly care workers (3 projects, 73 million won) ▲ quarantine supplies support for livestock markets, food service establishments, etc. (5 projects, 88 million won), with cash and quarantine supplies provided respectively.
