Gyeonggi International Boat Show Opens on the 1st of Next Month
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The "2021 Gyeonggi International Boat Show," where you can experience everything about marine leisure, will open online at 10 a.m. on the 1st of next month.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Gyeonggi International Boat Show is the largest marine leisure exhibition in Korea. Considering the social distancing measures due to COVID-19, this year’s event will be held exclusively online without any offline exhibitions.
Under the theme "Learn and Enjoy Marine Leisure," this year’s event consists of over 100 video contents produced in the form of YouTube videos, along with various online contents introducing participating companies and products.
During the event period, the province will establish a purchasing system linking video content and product information to expand sales channels for marine leisure companies, and will also hold an export consultation meeting with participation from over 40 companies worldwide. Additionally, from the 1st to the 3rd of next month, various online sales programs such as "Naver Live Commerce" will be prepared.
In particular, from 2 p.m. on the opening day, the "6th Gyeonggi Marine Leisure Forum" will be held under the theme "Exploring Coexistence Strategies between Fishing Villages and Marine Leisure."
Other events include ▲an exhibition of award-winning works from the "Boat Design Contest," ▲"My First Marine Leisure Diary" for beginners in marine leisure, and ▲"Marine Leisure Encyclopedia" for understanding and learning about marine leisure, along with various content introductions and events.
Andong-gwang, Director of the Agricultural and Marine Policy Bureau of the province, said, "The online Gyeonggi International Boat Show is designed to enhance user understanding through 'indirect experience,' which is one of the recent consumer trends. Since it allows more people from wider regions to visit, we expect it to greatly contribute to the globalization of the Gyeonggi International Boat Show."
