Kim Young-moon, President of Mayfield Hotel Seoul, Awarded the Bronze Tower Industrial Medal on 'Tourism Day'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Mayfield Hotel Seoul announced on the 28th that President Kim Young-moon received the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit at the award ceremony of the '48th Tourism Day' hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the 27th, in recognition of his contributions to the promotion of the tourism industry.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism holds an event every year on World Tourism Day to award government honors to those who have contributed to the promotion of tourism. This year, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the ceremony was held as an award presentation only, without a commemorative event.
According to the hotel, President Kim Young-moon is a professional manager who has worked in the tourism industry for 23 years. He has been recognized for successfully organizing international events, attracting foreign tourists, and contributing as the Vice Chairman of External Cooperation of the Korea Hotel Association by preparing industry support measures to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. He was awarded the Bronze Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit in recognition of his contributions to regulatory reform and proactive administration through his activities in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Regulatory Reform Committee, as well as his efforts in nurturing future talents while serving as an adjunct professor at Yonsei University's Graduate School of Environmental Studies.

President Kim Young-moon started his career at Lotte Duty Free and served as Executive Director at Walkerhill Hotel & Resort. He currently holds positions as an outside director of the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, adjunct professor at Yonsei University's Graduate School of Environmental Studies, and member of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Proactive Administration Committee.
