Distribution of 'Safe Table Signage' in Seo-gu, Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) is distributing 'Safe Table' signs that indicate tables including individuals who have completed COVID-19 vaccination, to ease the burden on small business owners amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
On the 27th, Seo-gu stated that the 'Safe Table' signs were created to distinguish tables that include vaccinated individuals, aiming to alleviate some difficulties faced by the dining industry in complying with quarantine rules.
About 1,000 signs were proactively distributed to priority management facilities expected to have many users, and subsequently, approximately 5,000 signs will be distributed to restaurants and cafes within Seo-gu.
A Seo-gu official said, "This project was initiated to help small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, supported by active quarantine measures and communication with residents. We will continue to seek various support measures to provide maximum assistance to them."
