KEPCO Approaches 3,000 Employees with Annual Salaries Over 100 Million Won... 1 in 8 Employees Earn Over 100 Million Won
Annual Salary of Institution Head: 265.05 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Last year, the number of employees at Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) earning over 100 million won annually approached 3,000, marking the largest scale ever recorded. This is an increase of 577 from the previous year (395), setting a new record.
According to data received by Lee Joo-hwan, a member of the People Power Party, from KEPCO, the number of employees earning over 100 million won last year was 2,972.
As of last year, KEPCO had a total of 23,389 employees, meaning one out of every eight employees earned over 100 million won annually.
During the same period, the annual salary of the institution's head was 266.505 million won, an increase of 3.335 million won compared to the previous year.

Last year, KEPCO posted a net profit of 1.9515 trillion won, but its debt reached 59.7721 trillion won, resulting in a debt ratio of 112.1%.
