[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that it will conduct COVID-19 vaccinations starting in October for unvaccinated individuals aged 18 and over (born on or before December 31, 2013) after prior reservation.
Advance reservations can be made through the COVID-19 vaccination reservation website or call center until 6 PM on September 30. Elderly people and foreigners who have difficulty making reservations by this time can have a guardian make a proxy reservation.
Vaccinations will be administered at designated medical institutions from October 1 to 16, and those not enrolled in health insurance will be vaccinated at vaccination centers.
The vaccines will be Pfizer or Moderna, and the completion of vaccinations for each target group will be individually notified sequentially according to vaccine supply status. For the AstraZeneca vaccine, first doses are available for unvaccinated individuals aged 30 and over who wish to receive it, using same-day rapid reservation service via SNS or a standby list as before.
A city official stated, “We urge citizens who missed the opportunity to get vaccinated so far to participate in vaccination for their own health and their families' safety.”
