Gimhae City Operates 'Forest Trail Exploration Program' to Support Safe and Unique Hiking Experience

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 24th that it has been operating a forest trail exploration program together with forest trail hiking guides since this month.
The program consists of the 'Safe Hiking Class' and 'Gimhae Forest Trail Hiking'.
The hiking class is a customized program held every Tuesday at Bunseong Mountain Ecological Forest for beginner hikers, teaching how to select and use hiking equipment, walking methods that vary according to slope and difficulty, and allowing participants to experience the charm of hiking through exploration of Bunseong Mountain.
It takes about 2 hours, and participants should prepare comfortable clothing (long pants required) and sneakers.
The forest trail hiking is held on the second Sunday of every month, teaching hiking methods applying Nordic walking, Tiger Step, etc., and exploring various forest trails of Gimhae with experts according to the season and theme. Each session takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Up to 10 people can participate in each program per group, individual, or family.
The city plans to gradually expand the number of program sessions to promote a healthy hiking culture.
