A Man in His 40s Arrested for Stabbing Another Man with a Weapon After Stepping in During His Girlfriend's Fight
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 40s has been arrested on charges of injuring another man while wielding a weapon in a fight on behalf of his girlfriend.
Kim Yong-chan, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Northern District Court, conducted a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant review) for Mr. A (47), who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and issued the warrant, stating there was a "risk of flight."
Mr. A is accused of stabbing another man in his 40s eight times, including the side and thigh, on a street in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, at around 1:20 a.m. on the 21st.
It is reported that both men came out to fight in person after seeing their respective girlfriends fighting over the phone. Mr. A surrendered to the police immediately after the incident and was arrested at the scene.
