Books Donated to Libraries Visit Schools... Ulsan Office of Education Launches 'Book Re-donation' Campaign
Ulsan Dongbu Library Donates 103 Books to Hyundai Cheongun Middle School ‥ Promoting Book Sharing Culture
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Are you familiar with the 'Jaegijeung' (re-donation) book movement?
Books donated to libraries are sent to places in need. Libraries gift the books again to frontline schools that want to read them, and the donated books continue to find new places where they are wanted. This re-donation movement is taking place in Ulsan.
On the 17th, Ulsan Dongbu Library delivered 103 books to Hyundai Cheongun Middle School to promote the culture of book sharing.
The donated books were selected from materials donated to Dongbu Library this year, focusing on books that help students' emotions and development, and organized as re-donated books.
Hyundai Cheongun Middle School plans to use the donated books as various resources to create a better reading environment for students.
A library official said, "We hope that the donated books will be well utilized to help spread the culture of reading and create a reading environment, even if just a little. We will strive to ensure that quality books are re-donated to places in need within the region."
