It analyzes the stages of cancer treatment from examination, diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy and medication, to post-management, and provides coverage for 20 newly added guarantees essential for cancer patients at each stage.
In particular, it developed the industry's first insurance coverage for 'Specific NGS Gene Panel Test Fee' (covered, once annually), which covers the next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based gene panel test fee. This test analyzes the nucleotide sequences of the genome by composing dozens to hundreds of genes into a single panel, and is widely used to select personalized treatments based on individual genomic information.
Additionally, it newly developed coverage for 'Stoma (Artificial Anus) Formation and Closure Surgery Fees,' which guarantees the formation and restoration (closure) surgery of stomas occurring during the treatment process of colorectal cancer and others. It also includes coverage for 'Specific Sepsis Diagnosis Fee' due to immune system decline during chemotherapy, 'Cancer MRI, PET Test Fees,' and more, minimizing coverage gaps.
