According to the police on the 19th, the Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul arrested A (72) on the spot and is currently investigating him on charges of arson of an occupied building.
A is accused of setting fire to clothing in the bathroom while intoxicated and arguing with his wife at a multi-family house in Seongbuk-gu around 8 p.m. the previous day. The fire only burned the clothes and did not spread elsewhere. The police responded to the scene following a report from a neighboring resident and arrested A.
At around 10:45 p.m. on the same day, B (69) was also caught by the police on the same charges at a multi-family house in Jungnang-gu, Seoul. He is accused of attempting to set fire after spraying a flammable substance in his house while intoxicated.
