Lotte Department Store Dongtan Branch Opens 1st 'Korean Table' Store with 100 Pyeong Area
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Lotte Department Store announced on the 17th that it has launched a 100-pyeong (approximately 330 square meters) specialized Korean restaurant brand called 'Hanguk-in-ui Bapsang' (Korean Table) at its Dongtan branch.
'Hanguk-in-ui Bapsang,' a flagship program on KBS 1TV, is Korea's first food documentary hosted by actor Choi Bul-am and has been airing for 10 years this year. This Hanguk-in-ui Bapsang restaurant is the first case to open using the TV program's name.
Chef Jo Hee-sook, who was selected as Asia's top female chef in 2020, served as the general director. The restaurant offers a total of 16 differentiated menu items, including the signature dishes 'Jeonriptu Cuisine' and 'Gamasot Bapsang' (Cauldron Table), as well as the special 'Paldo Sunryeogi' (Eight Provinces Pilgrimage) featuring hidden regional flavors.
