625 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul by 6 PM... Highest Number at This Time
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Seoul reported 625 new COVID-19 cases from midnight to 6 p.m. on the 16th, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
This is 20 more than the previous day (605 cases), which was the highest ever recorded during the same time period, and 56 more than last Thursday (the 9th), when there were 569 cases.
Major cluster infections in Seoul include 19 cases at Garak Market in Songpa-gu, 6 cases at an indoor sports facility in Songpa-gu, 3 cases at an elderly care facility in Eunpyeong-gu, and 2 cases at a high school in Gangdong-gu. The cumulative number of confirmed cases from the Garak Market cluster has increased to 185.
