View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's camp announced on the 16th that it will establish a presidential direct 'COVID-19 Emergency Rescue Special Headquarters' to overcome COVID-19.
Former Prosecutor General Yoon said, "Due to the government's delay in vaccine procurement, business normalization has not been achieved for more than a year and six months, facing a critical situation," and added, "We will prepare and concretize an emergency rescue plan from now on, finalize it before the start of the term, and execute it immediately upon inauguration."
To provide substantial financial support, an additional 50 trillion won will be injected into ultra-low interest special guarantee loans, and through the Credit Recovery Committee's debt adjustment system, the principal reduction rate of written-off debts for self-employed individuals will be expanded up to 90% for small amounts. Furthermore, a fund of up to 43 trillion won will be raised to expand support payments up to 50 million won.
The camp also plans to temporarily reduce burdens such as value-added tax, electricity, and water charges by 50% for small self-employed businesses, and to provide a full tax credit on the landlord's rent reduction amount for a limited time.
