The proportion of graduates among 2021 CSAT applicants reached 27.0%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points from the previous year. From 2016 to 2020, the proportion of repeat test-takers did not exceed 25%, but it surged to the high 20% range starting last year.
Based on the 2022 CSAT application submission, the proportion of repeat test-takers was 26.4%, down 0.6 percentage points from the previous year. Although the number of repeat test-takers increased by 1,764 due to the rise in high school senior examinees, the proportion decreased.
More students are choosing to retake or take a gap year to enter their desired universities. The continuation of non-face-to-face classes due to COVID-19 has also created favorable conditions for taking a gap year. The increased proportion of regular admissions is also good news for repeat test-takers.
