Ediya Coffee Donates 100 Million Won Hope Fund to Part-Time Workers
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Ediya Coffee announced on the 16th that it held the 2021 second half 'Ediya Mate Hope Fund' presentation ceremony.
The ceremony selected 200 Ediya Mates, and a total fund of 100 million KRW was delivered, with 500,000 KRW per person. Especially this year, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, the payment schedule was advanced and paid early to support store owners and Ediya Mates who have suffered from the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to practice the philosophy of win-win management.
The Ediya Mate Hope Fund is an in-house fund project prepared to express gratitude to part-time workers called 'Mates' working on site and to support their dreams and hopes. It has been operated twice a year, in the first and second half, since 2013, and over the past nine years, a total of 3,934 Ediya Mates have received the Hope Fund, with the cumulative fund amounting to about 2 billion KRW.

Ediya Coffee selects recipients of the Hope Fund based on fair evaluation criteria such as Mates' idea proposal assessments and length of service, giving priority to socially vulnerable groups. In addition, outstanding idea contributors are separately selected and rewarded, and adopted ideas are reviewed and actively reflected in on-site store operations.
