Hyundai Motor Delivers Ioniq 5 Official Vehicle to Embassy of Indonesia in Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 15th that it held a handover ceremony for the Ioniq 5 at the Embassy of Indonesia in Korea.
The event was attended by Umar Hadi, Ambassador of Indonesia to Korea, Changbeom Kim, Hyundai Motor Advisor (former Ambassador of Korea to Indonesia), Kyungsoo Kim, Hyundai Motor Executive Director, and other key officials.
Indonesia has recently been strongly promoting the expansion of electric vehicle adoption and the development of electric vehicle-related industries at the government level. In line with this, the Embassy of Indonesia in Korea decided earlier this year to replace its official vehicles with electric cars, aiming for a ‘Green Transformation’ for a sustainable society.
With the introduction of the Ioniq 5, the Embassy of Indonesia in Korea became the first Indonesian overseas embassy to adopt electric vehicles.
The Ioniq 5 introduced at the Indonesian Embassy is the first vehicle to apply Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated electric vehicle platform E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform), featuring outstanding design and driving performance.
