Influencer Couple Seo Juwon and Kim Minyoung Join Hands to Launch Golf Wear
Roadroar's Main Target Audience: Ages 20-30
'British Royal Family' Motif, Focused on Online Sales
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Former race car driver turned entrepreneur Seo Joo-won announced on the 15th that he is launching a golf wear brand called 'LORD LOAR'.
Seo Joo-won, also known as the husband of influencer Kim Min-young (YouTube name Aori), has been preparing to launch the golf wear brand in response to the recent growth of the golf population in Korea and the resulting activation of the golf industry.
"The main target audience of LORD LOAR is people in their 20s and 30s. We will release various products aimed at the MZ generation, who represent 'Gollini' (Golf + Children)," Seo explained. "Currently, the domestic golf population is estimated at 7 million, and among them, one in every three to four people is in their 20s or 30s. LORD LOAR was created in line with this market trend to offer a new type of golf wear." He added, "LORD LOAR's products are inspired by the British royal family, the birthplace of golf, and pursue the sensibility of a young lifestyle."
To strengthen product branding, Seo recruited Executive Director Kwon Mi-hwa, who has been in charge of launching and managing multiple brands including Samsung C&T Fashion Division's Beanpole. Director Kwon explained, "The distinctive feature of the LORD LOAR brand is that it combines the performance and activity of golf wear with the naturalness suitable for everyday life outside the field. The use of functional golf wear fabrics with various colors, textures, and emotionally appealing designs differentiates it from other products."
LORD LOAR will first focus on online sales by conducting social media marketing through influencers until next month. The plan is to sell a variety of products starting from the spring and summer season next year.
Meanwhile, Seo, who is currently active as a team owner, director, and player of a car racing team, is also preparing to establish the 'LORD LOAR Golf Team' within this year. It is known that he is preparing to enter the Chinese market next year.
