Woori Bank Holds 'If I Were a Hacker' Contest Utilizing Metaverse
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] Woori Bank announced on the 15th that it held the "If I Were a Hacker" Black Swan contest to discover information security ideas on a metaverse platform. A Black Swan refers to an event that seems highly unlikely to occur but can cause tremendous shock once it happens.
The event was conducted using avatars in a metaverse meeting space, allowing participants to avoid face-to-face contact due to COVID-19 while experiencing a realistic proposal presentation together with the Financial Security Institute and group companies.
A total of six proposals were selected, including the suggestion to "Establish a management system for externally approved files." Woori Bank plans to apply these ideas to actual operations in collaboration with Woori FIS, a financial IT specialist group company.
