Toss: "Claim Your 'Hidden Government Support Funds'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Mobile financial platform Toss announced on the 15th that it will provide the ‘Hidden Government Subsidy Finder’ service using the Public Data Portal of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. This is the first private service to implement the ‘Bojogeum24’ service not on the Government24 website but within its own application (app).
Bojogeum24 is a service that allows users to easily check and apply for government benefits they are eligible for. It not only informs users of benefits currently available but also those that may be supported in the future, and allows application for support. Starting today, by selecting ‘Hidden Government Subsidy Finder’ in the Toss app’s full tab and entering simple information such as address and occupation, users can check ‘Government benefits I can receive.’
Currently, over 300 benefits and more than 600 local government support projects can be checked in the Toss app, and the number of available benefits is planned to expand to over 6,000 by the end of the year. Next year, users will be able to view benefits provided not only by central government ministries but also by local governments and public institutions at a glance. A feature to check benefits for household members as well as the user will also be added.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety plans to disclose central government benefit services to the private sector to ensure that no one nationwide, including vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots, misses out on government benefits due to lack of awareness.
