Studio Santa Claus Enters Jeju Island Resort Business... "We Will Create a Complex Art Space"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Studio Santa Claus announced on the 14th that it has established a company called ‘Santa Claus Village’ and completed the acquisition of stocks and equity securities of other corporations to enter the resort business in Jeju Island.
The company explained that out of the 10.7 billion KRW paid for the capital increase acquired on the 14th, 5.7 billion KRW will be used for acquiring land and buildings, and the remaining 4 billion KRW will be used as remodeling funds for the scheduled opening in the second half of next year.
Santa Village is surrounded by 100,000 pyeong (approximately 330,578 square meters) of meadows and land with the theme of a space of joy where people meet nature and share culture. It was designed as a complex where visitors can enjoy the essence of organic life and various cultures.
A Studio Santa Claus official said, “We want to gift visitors a complex art space to enjoy nature and culture, leaving the nostalgia of Santa Village as a cherished memory,” and added, “We will discover various cultural and artistic contents that can be experienced in the village so that it can become a tourist cultural landmark in Jeju Island.”
He continued, “We hope that Santa Village, which will also be used as a filming location for drama and movie shoots, will establish itself as a new-concept community space where diverse cultures live and breathe.”
