Gachon University Ranks 8th Among Private Universities for Publications in International Academic Journals
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gachon University ranked 8th among private universities in international prestigious journal publication performance.
Gachon University announced on the 14th that it recorded 0.6792 papers per full-time faculty member in the 2021 university information disclosure for international prestigious journals (SCI-level/SCOPUS) (campus combined basis) recently released by the Korea Council for University Education, ranking 8th among 158 private universities in Korea.
The evaluation of international prestigious journals is indexed using papers published in SCI-level journals and SCOPUS.
In particular, Professor Kim Jong-woo of the Department of Energy IT published 36 first-author papers in international professional journals last year and received the Gachon Academic Award Grand Prize.
Along with this, Gachon University recorded 7.1384 billion KRW in internal research funds based on university information disclosure standards, ranking 16th among private universities (28th nationwide). This amount is about six times higher than 1.26746 billion KRW in 2013.
