[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The operator of the mobile meal voucher service 'Sikgwon Daejang', Vendis (CEO Jo Jeong-ho), announced on the 14th that it signed a contract to supply the Sikgwon Daejang solution with three Samsung affiliates located in the Samsung Headquarters Building in Jung-gu, Seoul, including Samsung Card last month, and recently launched the official service.
Sikgwon Daejang is a mobile meal voucher service launched by Vendis in 2014 that converted transaction methods between companies and nearby restaurants?such as paper meal vouchers, meal ledgers, and corporate cards?into a mobile-based system. Every day, 140,000 office workers use Sikgwon Daejang to pay for meals and other expenses, and the transaction amount through Sikgwon Daejang reached 60 billion KRW last year. In the first half of this year alone, it signed new service contracts with 150 companies, recording more than double the number of client companies compared to the same period last year.
The approximately 1,500 employees of the three Samsung affiliates newly using Sikgwon Daejang pay with meal allowance points provided by their companies through the Sikgwon Daejang app at partner stores. These points can be used not only at restaurants near the building but also for ordering food delivery to the office or various groceries to their homes.
