Hana Tour to Implement Full Normal Work System for All Employees Starting October
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] Hana Tour announced on the 13th that it will return to a full normal work system for all employees starting in October.
Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, Hana Tour has implemented paid and unpaid leave for all employees except essential workers since April last year. Since April, the company has gradually increased the number of working employees, and in October, after one year and six months of implementing paid and unpaid leave, it will switch to a full normal work system for all employees. Salaries will also be paid normally. Hana Tour expects that about 1,100 employees, excluding those on leave such as parental leave, out of approximately 1,200 employees, will be working.
Hana Tour's transition to a normal work system is a proactive measure to respond in advance to the recovery of the overseas travel market, as expectations for the resumption of overseas travel have grown due to the recent rise in vaccination rates and the government's consideration of transitioning to a "With COVID-19" policy. Accordingly, Hana Tour notified employees of their return to work in October through each headquarters last week.
Park Cheol, head of Hana Tour's HR department, said, "Although uncertainties caused by COVID-19 remain, we decided to switch to a full normal work system to respond quickly in line with signs of recovery in the overseas travel market."
