Yeongam-gun Provides Emergency Living Expenses Support for Childcare Due to Prolonged COVID-19 Pandemic
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that, following February, it will provide 'Emergency Childcare Living Expenses' to households raising children who are experiencing difficulties in order to reduce the financial burden of childcare.
The Emergency Childcare Living Expenses being provided this time will be fully funded by Yeongam-gun with approximately 220 million KRW from the county budget, targeting about 2,200 children under the age of 7 who receive child allowances. Each child will receive 100,000 KRW in cash deposited into their child allowance account, and considering it is emergency living expenses, the payment is planned to be completed before the Chuseok holiday.
Utilizing the previously established delivery system, without separate documentation or application procedures, 100,000 KRW per child will be paid to children under 7 years old who reside in Yeongam-gun as of August 24 and receive child allowances through their existing child allowance accounts. Guardians eligible for payment will be individually notified via text messages before and after the payment.
