KT Launches 'Caller Information Notifier Office Main Number' Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 13th that it has launched the ‘Caller Information Notifier Office Representative Number’ service, which reduces the call charges burden for small business owners who make many internet phone calls and increases the possibility of call connection.
Small business owners often use internet phones, which are cheaper than regular phones, to reduce call costs. However, the area code (070) of internet phones is strongly associated with advertisements, so many people do not answer these calls, causing significant difficulties in the business activities of small business owners.
The Caller Information Notifier Office Representative Number service changes the phone number sent from the 070 area code to a regular phone number and displays it on the recipient’s device. By using this service, the probability of connecting calls with customers who selectively do not answer 070 numbers can be increased. Also, calls are possible even if the 070 number is blocked.
When making calls from a mobile phone, the service simultaneously displays the regular phone number and the business name, clearly informing customers of the caller’s identity. The business name also appears in missed call records.
The regular phone number linked to the Caller Information Notifier Office Representative Number service can only be registered if it is under the same name as the internet phone number. The pricing plans can be selected from four options based on the number of outgoing calls per month: 300 calls (5,500 KRW), 600 calls (8,800 KRW), 1,500 calls (13,200 KRW), and 6,000 calls (27,500 KRW).
