Hyundai Card and GS Caltex Launch 'Energy Plus Card Edition 2'... "Up to 15% Discount"
Benefits Available Up to a Total of 600,000 KRW Annually
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Hyundai Card and GS Caltex announced on the 13th the launch of the private label credit card (PLCC) "Energy Plus Card Edition 2," which offers up to 15% fuel discount benefits.
This card is characterized by providing more intuitive discount benefits instead of the existing point accumulation. First, when used through the Energy Plus application (app) at GS Caltex, it offers a 15% discount on the usage amount, and when used through general card payments, it provides a 10% discount benefit. In particular, the general card payment discount benefit is provided equally not only for gasoline and diesel but also for LPG, electric vehicle, and hydrogen vehicle charging. (Payment for LPG, electric vehicle, and hydrogen vehicle charging through the Energy Plus app will be opened later.)
The "Quick Refuel" service of the Energy Plus app allows customers to pre-register their usual refueling patterns such as fuel type and refueling amount, as well as payment methods in the app, enabling them to conveniently place refueling orders and make payments at gas stations all at once. Currently, the Quick Refuel service can be used at over 300 gas stations nationwide, and the target gas stations will be expanded to about 800 by the end of this year. When selecting the Quick Refuel service in the Energy Plus app, users can check nearby gas stations where the service is available, fuel prices, and ancillary services at their current location.
Additionally, this card offers a 5% discount benefit in mobility sectors such as parking, car washing, and automobile maintenance, and exempts the concierge service usage fee of GS Caltex's future-type gas station, Energy Plus Hub, once per quarter.
The discount benefits are provided up to KRW 40,000 per month at GS Caltex and up to KRW 10,000 per month in the mobility sector depending on the previous month's card usage performance, allowing users to enjoy benefits totaling up to KRW 600,000 annually.

The annual fee is KRW 10,000 for both domestic-only and domestic/international (Visa) cards, and the card can be registered and used immediately in the GS Caltex app upon issuance. An event is also being held where customers who issue the Energy Plus Card Edition 2 and make payments of KRW 10,000 or more by September 30 will receive a 100% cashback of the annual fee.
