Orion Launches 'Kkomultang', Caterpillar-Shaped Jelly Candy
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Orion announced on the 13th that it will launch a new product, 'Kkomultang' Jelly.
'Kkomultang' features a design that realizes the three-dimensional round shape of a caterpillar and a mini size. It also offers a fun dual texture by adding chewy regular jelly on top of soft aerated jelly filled with air.
The flavors are unique as well. The red jelly combines apple and cider flavors, while the yellow jelly combines lemon and cola flavors, creating a so-called 'complex taste.' Reflecting consumers' preferences for consuming in multiple servings, it will be offered in small packages of about six pieces in a 28-piece pack, as well as a large 50-piece package.

Orion's 'My Gummy,' first introduced in 1991, was greatly loved domestically for its fun fruit-shaped designs and chewy texture.
It is also enhancing the status of 'K-Jelly' in the global market. After launching in the Chinese market in 2018 under the local name 'Guozi Guozi (果滋果姿),' it was introduced in Vietnam last July under the local name 'Boom Jelly.' In addition, Orion has built a diverse lineup including the worm-shaped fun concept jelly 'Wang Kkumteuli' and 'Jelly Day,' which provides vitamin C intake.
