Seoul City Reports 546 Confirmed Cases by 9 PM... 102 Fewer Than Previous Day

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Seoul City announced that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases was tentatively counted at 546 from 0:00 to 21:00 on the 12th, a 21-hour period.
This is 102 fewer than the same time period the previous day (648 cases) and 92 more than a week ago (5th) when there were 454 cases. The total number of confirmed cases for the entire day was 658 on the 11th and 464 on the 5th.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul sharply increased since the start of the 4th wave this summer, breaking records four times with 582 cases on July 6, 637 on July 13, 660 on last month’s 10th, and 677 on the 24th.
This month, the spread intensified further, recording over 600 cases for five consecutive days for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak, with 671 cases on the 7th, 667 on the 8th, 670 on the 9th, 659 on the 10th, and 658 on the 11th.
