Gyeongnam Province Employment Stability Support Project Achieves Results ... 568 Reemployed Successfully
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 12th that the 'Employment Stability Preemptive Response Package Support Project,' conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, is showing positive results.
This year, the province is investing 10.4 billion KRW in the support project, through which it is promoting reemployment capacity-building education for the unemployed within the province and operating the Employment Stability Preemptive Response Support Center (hereinafter referred to as the Support Center).
In particular, the province explained that out of 10,245 participants who took part in various programs provided by the Support Center, such as mock interviews for retirees and other job seekers, 568 have successfully found reemployment.
The province also provides a hiring incentive of 1 million KRW per month for three months to companies within the province that employ retirees facing employment crises.

Kim Ilsu, Director of the Job Economy Division, stated, "We will provide maximum support so that the Support Center can serve not only as an employment safety net for retirees but also as a comprehensive job support institution that fosters specialized personnel necessary for the province's transition to new growth industries."
