Cumulative First Dose Vaccinations Reach 32,800,966... Vaccination Rate at 63.9% (Update)

According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Promotion Team) on the 11th, the number of new first-dose vaccinations the previous day was 650,079, bringing the cumulative number of first-dose recipients to 32,809,660. As of that day, the first-dose vaccination rate was 63.9% of the total population (51,349,116 as of December last year).
The number of new first-dose vaccinations by vaccine type the previous day was 533,900 for Pfizer, 103,480 for Moderna, 10,667 for Janssen, and 2,032 for AstraZeneca (AZ).
Looking at the cumulative first-dose recipients by vaccine type, Pfizer accounts for 17,666,614, AstraZeneca 11,092,765, and Moderna 2,717,310. The cumulative number of Janssen vaccine recipients is 1,324,277. Since the Janssen vaccine requires only one dose, it is included in both the first and second dose counts.
The number of people newly completing the second dose the previous day was 415,720. By vaccine type, this includes 286,587 for Pfizer, 109,482 for Moderna, 10,667 for Janssen, and 8,984 for AstraZeneca.
The total number of people who have completed both doses reached 19,823,479, which is 38.6% of the population. Based on the population aged 18 and over, this rate is 44.9%.
As of midnight on that day, the remaining vaccine stock in South Korea totaled 19,054,000 doses. By type, this includes 8,882,900 doses of Moderna, 5,327,900 doses of Pfizer, 4,523,300 doses of AstraZeneca, and 319,900 doses of Janssen.
The number of people vaccinated with 'leftover vaccines' through standby lists managed by medical institutions or social networking service (SNS) applications such as Naver and Kakao increased by 66,844 (25,208 from standby lists and 41,636 from same-day SNS reservations). This brings the cumulative number of leftover vaccine recipients to 4,273,285.
Meanwhile, from the 8th to the 10th, a total of 12,531 new cases of suspected adverse reactions after vaccination were reported to health authorities. By vaccine type, there were 7,111 cases for Pfizer, 3,111 for Moderna, 2,223 for AstraZeneca, and 86 for Janssen.

The daily reports of adverse reactions were 3,950 on the 8th, 4,009 on the 9th, and 4,572 on the 10th. There were 20 new death reports. Among these, 9 had received the Pfizer vaccine, 8 the AstraZeneca vaccine, and 3 the Moderna vaccine. The causal relationship between vaccination and death has not yet been confirmed. The Promotion Team plans to evaluate the association through expert review.
