On the 8th, Jeonbuk Jeonju Deokjin Police Station announced that they have apprehended and are investigating a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on suspicion of attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing his acquaintance, Mr. B, with a weapon at a commercial building in downtown Jeonju on the morning of the 31st of last month and fleeing the scene.
After the crime, he turned off his mobile phone and escaped.
The police tracked CCTV footage and other movements to arrest Mr. A, who was hiding in a house in Daegu the day before. Mr. A reportedly admitted to the crime, saying, "I did it because he kept making me angry while we were drinking."
Mr. B was seriously injured but is reported to be out of danger.
