Incheon City Announces Funding Support Project for MICE Industry... 5 Million KRW Support per Company
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City and Incheon Tourism Organization are announcing a funding support project for the MICE industry to overcome the COVID-19 disaster.
This is the second commercialization support plan to help recover the MICE industry affected by COVID-19, following the Incheon MICE Industry Priming Support Project announced in April.
The support targets local MICE companies such as international conference planning, exhibition planning, exhibition design and installation, exhibition services, and Incheon MICE Alliance, which have held MICE events in the past three years.
The support items include development costs for digital business capabilities that can proactively respond to changing MICE trends in the new normal era, quarantine supplies for safe MICE event hosting, operation of worker training programs, and promotion and marketing expenses.
A separate screening committee will be formed to select the supported companies. The total support scale is 100 million KRW, targeting 20 MICE companies, with support up to 5 million KRW per company.
However, large corporations, hospitals, 5-star hotels, large shopping malls, MICE companies that are closed, and companies selected in the Incheon MICE Industry Priming Support Project are excluded.
The application period is from the 13th to October 8th. Detailed information can be found on the websites of Incheon Tourism Organization or Incheon MICE Support Center.
