11st Embracing 'Amazon', Overseas Direct Purchase Transaction Amount Increases 3.5 Times
Amazon Global Store Live Broadcast Reaches 700,000 Viewers in One Hour
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The 'Amazon Global Store' launched on the 31st of last month on 11st is showing tangible results alongside the popularity of SK Telecom's new subscription service 'Everyone's Subscription Universe, T Universe.'
11st announced on the 8th that the transaction amount in the overseas direct purchase category increased more than 3.5 times compared to a month earlier (July 31 to August 6) during the period from the 31st of last month to the 6th of this month. According to 11st, this achievement was possible because they listed tens of millions of products that sell well on Amazon at competitive prices, along with the popularity of the 'Universe Pass' which offers benefits for the Amazon Global Store.
The frequency of product exploration (page views) by Amazon Global Store customers was also about four times higher compared to existing 11st customers. This is interpreted as customers not only making purposeful purchases by deciding on products in advance but also enjoying the so-called 'joy of shopping' while exploring popular and well-selling products.
This increase in product exploration frequency is also linked to an increase in transaction amounts. Currently, the most popular products on 11st are kitchenware, food & health, and sports & outdoor goods, receiving great responses from customers with actual transaction amounts exceeding up to five times the self-set transaction targets.
The special live broadcast commemorating the launch of 11st's Amazon Global Store, held from 11 a.m. on the 6th, recorded a cumulative viewership of 700,000 in one hour. This is the second highest number of viewers in the history of 11st live broadcasts. Along with the introduction of the Amazon Global Store, various viewer participation events and prize draws were held, and six popular Amazon Global Store products were sold simultaneously.
