This campaign is held in collaboration with 'Goodwill Store,' operated by the social welfare corporation Milal Welfare Foundation, following the one in March. 'Goodwill Store' is a company that provides environmental protection and jobs for people with disabilities through resource circulation. Items donated by individuals or companies are sorted, priced, and displayed by disabled workers and sold at Goodwill Store outlets, with the proceeds going to the disabled workers. Through this campaign, Lotte Hi-Mart plans to practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by recycling unused items from its executives and employees to protect the environment and support jobs for people with disabilities.
This campaign was planned to coincide with September's 'Resource Circulation Day.' 'Resource Circulation Day' is a day jointly established by the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Waste Association to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the global environment and recycling resources. The Lotte Hi-Mart executives and employees' unused item donation campaign involves voluntary participation nationwide. During the campaign period, Lotte Hi-Mart collects used or unused items donated by executives and employees across the country. Items include clothing, miscellaneous goods, small home appliances, daily necessities, and more. The campaign is conducted in a non-face-to-face manner, either by directly placing items in the storage area prepared at Lotte Hi-Mart's Daechi headquarters building or by submitting them via courier. The donated items will be inspected and then sold at 12 Goodwill Store locations nationwide.
Han Yul-hee, Head of Compliance Management Division at Lotte Hi-Mart, said, "We are conducting the item donation campaign with executives and employees nationwide to practice environmental protection through resource recycling, coexistence through job creation for people with disabilities, and social responsibility through a culture of sharing." She added, "Lotte Hi-Mart will continue to plan and carry out various ESG activities that promote environmental conservation and sharing."

The completed eco-bags were delivered to underprivileged children. To provide more educational opportunities for children, Lotte Hi-Mart also held a remote 'Hi Science Concert' through its official YouTube channel.
