President Moon said, "Your unwavering dedication to standing by those in need has created the belief and hope that the nation will protect my life," emphasizing, "In crisis situations like COVID-19, which make life harder for vulnerable people, the role of social welfare becomes even more important."
President Moon stated, "Protecting vulnerable groups in times of crisis is essential not only for a full recovery of daily life but also for a new leap forward after recovery," and added, "The dedication and sense of mission of social welfare workers are becoming a strong force that enables both recovery and advancement."
President Moon said, "We will improve the treatment of social welfare workers, reduce working hours, and guarantee rest time. We will adjust wage levels to realistic standards and expand accident insurance support to enhance welfare benefits and improve quality of life."
President Moon said, "Fellow citizens, we must strengthen the social safety net further to become a country where everyone prospers together," and stated, "Through COVID-19, we have reaffirmed that our neighbor’s safety is my safety, and our neighbor’s happiness is my happiness."
President Moon said, "The government has strengthened health insurance coverage and introduced the national responsibility system for dementia. By expanding public childcare centers, we are also reducing care disparities," and added, "Child allowances and temporary livelihood support funds serve as means to supplement the income of low-income households. The government will continue to make every effort to eliminate inequality and gaps
and to achieve inclusive recovery and advancement."
