Signing of Business Agreement for Opening 'Culture and Sports Facilities'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan District of Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Samho) is opening cultural and sports facilities in the district to local elementary, middle, and high school students to support physical fitness and cultural activities.
On the 7th, Gwangsan District announced that it signed a business agreement with the Gwangju Western Education Support Office (Superintendent Park Jujeong), Suwan Elementary School (Principal Yang Younghee), and Gwangsan District Facilities Management Corporation (Chairman Shin Seonho) to provide cultural and sports activity spaces for local students.
This agreement was promoted to actively support outdoor activities for local students, which have been restricted due to COVID-19.
According to the agreement, Gwangsan District will provide cultural and sports facilities operated by the Facilities Management Corporation as spaces for various activities of local school students.
The facilities to be opened include four locations: ▲ Bitgoeul National Sports Center (Health Lecture Room, VR·AOR Experience Room) ▲ Cheomdan Multipurpose Sports Center (Gymnasium) ▲ Gwangsan Nongak Training Center (Nongak Program) ▲ Suwan Culture and Sports Center (Multipurpose Gymnasium).
The Western Education Support Office and others will support promotion so that students can actively use the facilities and programs.
Kim Samho, Mayor of Gwangsan District, said, “Ensuring students’ cultural and sports activities is a task given to all of us,” and added, “We will cooperate with local organizations to support youth so they can freely play and enjoy culture.”
