[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Visitors to Gangseo District Office can preview the newly constructed integrated government building, ‘Gangseo Jingyeongdowon (眞景都園).’
Seoul’s Gangseo District (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that it will exhibit the winning design of the integrated government building’s international design competition on the first floor of the district office main building until October.
This exhibition was organized to share the appearance of the integrated government building, which will become a landmark of the district, with many residents.
The exhibited works include the design overview, architectural models, and jury comments of the winning entry ‘Gangseo Jingyeongdowon’ by Haean Comprehensive Architectural Office Co., Ltd. and H Architecture P.C.
In particular, the bird’s-eye view of the integrated government building will be presented through an animation video to vividly convey the appearance of the newly constructed building to residents.
‘Jingyeongdowon’ is a work that reinterprets Geomjae Jeong Seon’s true-view landscape paintings in a modern style, depicting a park-type administrative complex town where nature, the village, and people’s daily lives harmoniously coexist.
According to the design plan, the building layout maximizes openness by harmonizing with the surrounding large park and maximizes resident convenience spaces. The ‘courtyard-type smart office,’ designed to enhance work efficiency and creativity, is also a notable feature.
This exhibition is open to anyone interested in the construction of the Gangseo District integrated government building. District Mayor Noh Hyun-song said, “This exhibition was prepared to show the residents who have long awaited the construction of the government building the future appearance of Gangseo District Office in advance,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that the integrated government building is constructed as a space that considers the residents of Gangseo and is open to everyone.”
