Digital Daesung Signs MOU with Lee Myung-hak and NE Neungyul to "Enhance Competitiveness"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Digital Daesung, an educational content company, announced on the 6th that it has signed a tripartite business agreement (MOU) with Lee Myung-hak, a leading instructor for the CSAT English exam, and NE Neungyule, a leading education platform company.
The signing ceremony held at Digital Daesung’s headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul, was attended by Digital Daesung CEO Kim Hee-seon, Executive Director of the e-learning division Noh Han-seon, instructor Lee Myung-hak, NE Neungyule CEO Joo Min-hong, and Head of R&D Kim Jin-hong, among others.
This agreement brings together ▲ Digital Daesung, which possesses excellent know-how in producing and managing content in the CSAT industry ▲ Lee Myung-hak, the number one CSAT English instructor with over 2.88 million cumulative students ▲ NE Neungyule, which holds the best-selling English textbooks and the top market share in high school English textbooks in Korea, and has outstanding content development capabilities. Through mutual business cooperation, they aim to further strengthen competitiveness and jointly build and provide high-quality English educational content covering the entire spectrum of high school learning.
A Digital Daesung representative stated, “From the 2022 CSAT English exam, the EBS linkage ratio has been reduced from the previous 70% to below 50% and changed to indirect linkage, so the perceived difficulty level will increase further.” They added, “In fact, the mock exams conducted in June and September this year were somewhat difficult, increasing students’ anxiety about English learning. This makes the significance of this agreement even greater. We will do our best to develop English educational content that leads to students’ skill improvement.”
Instructor Lee Myung-hak said, “Through this agreement, I wanted to provide content that students, who are confused about ‘what’ and ‘how’ to study English, can trust and study consistently.” He explained, “I believe the content to be presented after the agreement will serve as a barometer for English learning, helping students study sufficiently in the right direction.”
Following this, a NE Neungyule representative said, “This is a great opportunity to develop competitive content through collaboration with instructor Lee Myung-hak, who listens to students’ voices in the field.” They added, “We plan to create an active cooperative system with Digital Daesung to generate synergy in the market.”
