Department of Aviation Services, Park Yeo-jin, Kim Hee-won, Nam Hyun-ji Receive Encouragement Awards

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong) announced on the 6th that students belonging to the overseas employment club operated by the University Job Center won the Encouragement Award in the ‘Zero Plastic Travel Challenge! Namdo Travel Contest.’

Third-year students Park Yeo-jin, Kim Hee-won, and Nam Hyun-ji from the Department of Aviation Service at Gwangju University, who participated in this contest (advised by Professor Yoo Seung-ok), received the Encouragement Award for their work titled ‘Everyone, Try Practicing Zero Plastic~’ and were awarded a round-trip airfare from Muan to Jeju and a prize of 500,000 won.

The Namdo Travel Contest, hosted by Jeju Air and Jeollanam-do Province, was held to introduce ways to enjoy traveling while protecting the beautiful seas and islands of Jeollanam-do.

Yoon Hong-sang, head of the Gwangju University Job Center, said, “Our students’ passion and efforts have yielded good results,” and added, “We will actively support them so that they can achieve excellent results in more competitions.”
