According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 4th, as of 2 p.m. that day, 25 people were confirmed positive.
Among them, 8 people including 4202, 4209, and 4212 were confirmed positive at a temporary screening clinic set up in a foreigner-dense area in Gwangsan-gu.
The city has issued an administrative order requiring mandatory diagnostic testing for workplaces employing foreign workers, and the number of confirmed cases related to this is expected to continue increasing.
Since Jeonnam 2591 was infected at a logistics center located in Gwangsan-gu on the 31st of last month, the virus has been spreading mainly among coworkers. On this day, 2 more people, 4208 and 4219, were added, bringing the cumulative total to 25.
In Buk-gu, after people who met through an elderly job project held a private gathering, the first confirmed case 4092 was reported on the 1st, followed by new confirmed cases 4203 and 4024, increasing the total to 13.
One case, 4222, was reported related to a family gathering in Seo-gu.
Four cases related to confirmed patients from other cities and provinces include 4207, 4210, and 4226, and two cases related to previously confirmed patients are 4220 and 4223.
Currently, the infection routes of six people, 4205, 4206, 4215, 4221, 4224, and 4225, have not been identified.
