KFTC: "Check COVID-19 Disaster Relief Eligibility with Financial Certificate"
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute announced on the 4th that the eligibility for the ‘COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund’ can be checked through the Financial Authentication Service on the National Health Insurance Service website and application (app).
By using the Financial Authentication Service, there is no need to separately install apps or programs to verify eligibility. After accessing the National Sinmungo and completing identity verification with the Financial Authentication Service, appeals can also be submitted.

The Korea Financial Telecommunications and Clearings Institute explained that the Financial Authentication Service can be used not only for disaster relief fund inquiries but also for financial, public services, and housing subscription applications. Furthermore, it plans to continuously expand its usage to public, education, and medical sectors beyond finance. With improvements in convenience and security, it is expected that the number of Financial Authentication Service users will exceed 10 million within this year.
