[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] As preferences for contactless services increase due to COVID-19, bidets that allow self-management are also gaining popularity.
According to Cuckoo Homesys on the 5th, sales of the company's 'Inspure Easy Filter Bidet' increased by 90% last month compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the 'Electrolyzed Nozzle Auto-Sterilization Bidet,' launched in August last year, has maintained a monthly sales growth rate of 10%.
The background of these results lies in the rising demand for contactless management. With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, more consumers want contactless management for rental products, leading to increased sales of bidets with enhanced self-management functions, the company explained.
In fact, the Inspure Easy Filter Bidet automatically shuts off the raw water valve when replacing the filter, preventing water splashes or leaks. Additionally, typical bidet purification filters are connected to the faucet located behind the toilet, requiring users to bend down and use tools for replacement, which is inconvenient. In contrast, the Inspure Easy Filter Bidet has the filter located at the front of the toilet, allowing users to easily twist and replace it by hand.
The Inspure Electrolyzed Nozzle Auto-Sterilization Bidet also features a self-sterilization function. This product automatically sterilizes and cleans the bidet nozzle with a natural sterilizing agent created by electrolyzing clean water that has passed through the filter.
The company expects the number of customers preferring self-management bidets to steadily increase. Since simple self-management can maintain product hygiene and reduce rental costs by minimizing on-site services, the company plans to expand its new product lineup with self-management functions applied.

A Cuckoo Homesys official said, "As demand for managing products independently instead of cumbersome on-site services increases, self-management bidets are receiving a positive response," adding, "Based on our know-how in establishing a self-management rental system early on, we will introduce an innovative lineup tailored to consumer preferences and needs."
