Volvo Group Korea Appoints Andrew Knight as New CEO

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunjin Jung] Volvo Group Korea, a company specializing in excavators, announced on the 3rd that it has appointed Andrew Knight, head of the Excavator Operations Division at Volvo Construction Equipment, as the new CEO.
Born in 1965, Knight currently oversees the Excavator Operations Division and the Changwon Plant Operations at Volvo Construction Equipment. With over 30 years of experience in the construction machinery field, Knight has worked in Europe, North America, and Japan, handling business strategy and new business development, operations (production), finance and cost management, new product planning, sales, and marketing.
New CEO Knight said, "I am pleased to take on a new role at Volvo Group Korea," adding, "I will join the journey to develop the company's long-term competitiveness by responding agilely to an innovative business environment and enabling all members to contribute to performance creation and self-development."
Knight is scheduled to work in Changwon and will concurrently hold the positions of head of Excavator Operations Division and head of Changwon Plant Operations.

Meanwhile, Volvo Group Korea added that former CEO Yang Sung-mo has taken on the role of head of Excavator Operations Strategy to support excavator strategy in line with Volvo Construction Equipment's excavator reinforcement policy.
